David Robert Joseph Beckham, OBE is an English footballer who plays midfield for Los Angeles Galaxy in Major League Soccer, having previously played for Manchester United, Preston North End, Real Madrid, and A.C. Milan, as well as the England national team, for whom he holds the all-time appearance record for an outfield player.

Beckham’s career began when he signed a professional contract with Manchester United, making his first-team debut in 1992 aged 17. During his time there, United won the Premier League title six times, the FA Cup twice, and the UEFA Champions League in 1999. He left Manchester United to sign for Real Madrid in 2003, where he remained for four seasons, clinching the La Liga championship in his final season with the club. He earned a much-publicised hundredth cap against France on 26 March 2008, and became the all-time outfield player appearance record holder on 28 March 2009 when he surpassed Bobby Moore’s total of 108 caps. With 115 career appearances to date he has stated that does not intend to retire from international football, having missed the 2010 World Cup through injury and not featuring in England manager Fabio Capello’s post-World Cup plans.

Beckham has twice been runner-up for FIFA World Player of the Year and in 2004 was the world’s highest-paid footballer when taking into account salary and advertising deals. Joakim “Franchise Player” Noah is a French American professional basketball player for the Chicago Bulls. He played collegiate basketball for the University of Florida from 2004-2007. “Amazing” is an electro-house song by Romanian recording artist Inna, from her debut album “Hot”. The song debuted on Radio 21 FM in August 6, 2009, and was released in October 2009. It brought Inna the first number-one single in her home country Romania. It was released as her fouth single in Romania and the Netherlands and as her second single in the U.K., Germany and France. The music video was shot in Portugal and shows Inna on the beach falling in love with a lifeguard.

“Amazing” was written by Play & Win in early 2009 for Anca Badiu, a Romanian singer, but because they thought Inna should do better with the song they put Inna to record the song. After the premiere of Inna’s version Anca Badiu complained that “Play and Win have stolen her track!”.

Rene la taupe (English: René the mole) is a virtual singing character created in 2009 by Fox Mobile Group studios. The character, which is in fact a groundhog, was made famous through a music for mobile phone and a music video available on the Internet. The character was created to mediate ringtones on behalf of Jamster, a distributor of content for mobile phones that had already produced Crazy Frog.

The first ringtone, “Merde” (English: “Shit”), whose lyrics were sometimes considered vulgar, is the most downloaded song of 2009 on the German version (“Scheiße, ich liebe dich”) of Jamba. The single reached number 30 in Germany and remained nine weeks on the charts, and peaked at number 38 in Austria.

In May 2010, a second song was released, “Mignon, Mignon”, which quickly became a hit. The lyrics, written by Christian Buttner, Hank Hobson and Marcello Pagin, suggest the chubby look of the animal that makes it adorable. The success of the single generated an increase of the ringtone sales, becoming one of the most downloaded of the middle of 2010 with help from Fun Radio.

Jamba, a brand of Fox Mobile Group, released a derivative version, “Mauvais, Mauvais” (English: “Bad, Bad”) after the failure of the France team in the 2010 FIFA World Cup but it was the original song that ensured success. The music video is shown on the Internet and became an Internet meme.

In late August 2010, René la Taupe announced a new single, “C’est la rentrée”. A Christmas song is also scheduled.

In April 2010, producers announced that Lohan was cast as adult-film performer Linda Lovelace, star of Deep Throat, in the film Inferno, scheduled to be directed by Matthew Wilder and produced by Chris Hanley. Filming is scheduled to start either in August 2010 or in Fall 2010. Lohan has defended herself against criticism of the role, saying that the film will not be pornographic. In May 2010, Lohan did not appear for a scheduled DUI progress report hearing. At a rescheduled hearing on May 24, 2010 Lohan was ordered to attend weekly alcohol education classes, wear an alcohol-monitoring bracelet, refrain from drinking alcohol, and undergo random weekly drug tests to remain free on bail. Carla Gilberta Bruni Tedeschi was born in Turin, Italy, and is heiress to the fortune created by the Italian tyre manufacturing company CEAT, founded in the 1920s by her grandfather Virginio Bruni Tedeschi. First lady of France

Following her marriage to Sarkozy, in February 2008, Bruni-Sarkozy continued accompanying him on state visits, including to the United Kingdom in March 2008, which created a sensation in the international press and the public in the UK and France.

There was controversy on the eve of the state visit to the UK, with the publication by Christie’s auction house of a nude photograph of Bruni taken during her career as a model. The photograph sold for $91,000. The Villa Grisebach auction house appraised “Carla Bruni in Bed” at $3,568-$4,997 and talked to prospective buyers from as far away as Mexico, according to the house’s photography expert, Franziska Schmidt.

“I really don’t know why there is such a hype,” Schmidt said. “For us it is not the highlight.”

Last year, Christie’s auction house in New York sold a different nude print of Bruni for 30 times more than anticipated. An anonymous bidder paid $91,000 for the photograph.

Villa Grisebach would not provide any information on the winning bidder Thursday.
