Margaret Denise Quigley, better known as Maggie Q, is a Hawaii-born, American actress and former fashion model. She initially gained fame in Hong Kong.

Maggie Q was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, to an American father of Polish, French Canadian and Irish descent, and a Vietnamese mother. Her parents met while her father was stationed in Vietnam. Maggie is the youngest of five children. She has two sisters and two half-siblings from her mother’s previous marriage in Vietnam. After graduating from Mililani High School, she traveled to Japan and Hong Kong to become a fashion model. In 1998, she got her first role in a Chinese-language television series.

She began acting in Hong Kong and elsewhere in East Asia. Because of her non-Chinese heritage, many of her film appearances are in English or dubbed in Chinese languages. She has, however, stated that she took Mandarin and Cantonese lessons during her career in East Asia and is able to speak both languages to varying degrees. Among her first film appearances were the lead roles in the Hong Kong action thrillers Gen-Y Cops and Naked Weapon, in which she played the martial artist assassin Charlene Ching. She has also played the titular role of Harmony in the German-Singapore telemovie collaboration Das Haus Der Harmonie, opposite leading Singaporean actress Fann Wong.

In 2006, she starred alongside Tom Cruise in Mission: Impossible III. She played Zhen, the only female member of the IMF team. In 2007, she appeared in the Bruce Willis movie Live Free or Die Hard, the fourth film in the Die Hard series, and in Balls of Fury.

In 2008, Maggie played fictional Cao Ying, a granddaughter of the warlord Cao Cao in Three Kingdoms: Resurrection of the Dragon, in her first ancient Chinese costume performance.

She also stars in the video game in the Need for Speed franchise Need for Speed: Undercover as Inspector Chase Linh who is the player’s only contact to the Tri-City Police.

In 2010, it was announced that she would be the lead character on the new CW series, Nikita, a revamp of the movie/TV title.

She changed her name to Maggie Q for easier pronunciation by Chinese audiences. She has a tattoo of a phoenix on her hip.

Cho Shin Sung, is a South Korean boy band formed under Mnet Media. Its six members specialized in the areas of singing, dance, acting, rap and pop. Since debut, the group gained popularity in South Korea, Japan, Thailand, and other East Asian countries.

Choshinsung fans use various versions of the group’s name in different countries. In South Korea, the group is known as Choshinsung (초신성), while in Japan they are known as Chōshinsei (超新星), in Chinese known as Chao xin xing (超新星), and in English Supernova. Agnes Monica is a Chinese Indonesian pop recording artist, dancer, actress, songwriter, and model. Her career started when she was only 6 years old.

Her album “..And the Story Goes” (2003) made her popular as a teenage singer. It was a big success in Indonesia with the singles “Bilang Saja”, “Jera” and “Cinta Mati”. The album sold 30.000 copies in only 3 days and eventually got double platinum. In 2005 she released her second album “Whaddup A.. ‘?!” with the hit single, “Tak Ada Logika”. It sold 50,000 copies in 10 days and went to triple platinum (with no album promotion in Malaysia). Her current album is “Sacredly Agnezious”; it features the hit single, Teruskanlah. Her biggest hit to date is “Matahariku”.

Her success brought her fame not only in her homeland, Indonesia, but also in neighboring Asian countries such as Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei, Philippines and even in the Netherlands in Europe. Her twice performance at the 2008 and 2009 Asia Song Festival in Seoul, Korea, led her to fame in Taiwan, Korea, China and the rest of the Asia-Pacific region. She is the only singer in Indonesia who has her own dance group called, Nezindahood, who always perform with Agnes on stage. In 2009, she began planning to launch her international career, and started taking Mandarin lessons. Nicholas Teo, born November 29, 1981, also known as Nicholas Zhang, is a Chinese-Malaysian singer signed under Play Music. Before returning to Malaysia, Nicholas was studying in Taiwan, where he won the Best Singer in a competition among all the Taiwan universities. Thereafter, he was approached and asked if he would sign up with a company as a back-up singer (backing vocalist, to harmonize with the lead vocalist), which Nicholas subsequently ignored.

He returned to Malaysia without finishing his studies and participated in the singing competition “2002 Astro Talent Quest”. Nicholas won first place with the song 黃昏(Huáng Hūn), originally sung by Zhou Chuan Xiong. This led to Nicholas signing a contract in Taiwan with Music Street in 2003. On June 18, 2004 he released his first album 首選張棟樑 (“1st Choice Nicholas”). Music Street eventually merged with Warner Music. Play Music is a record label subsidiary of Singaporean company Musicstreet Pte Ltd. In 2006, Nicholas received the 2006 Hito Newcomer Award in Taiwan. He also successfully completed his From Now On Concert Tour covering stops in Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia within the first half-year of 2008. The Malaysian government appointed Teo Penang’s ‘green ambassador’ to spread awareness on environmental issues.

Li Lian Jie (born April 26, 1963), better known by his stage name Jet Li, is a Chinese martial artist, actor, film producer, wushu champion, and international film star who was born in Beijing, China, and who has currently taken up Singapore citizenship.

After three years of intensive training with Wu Bin, Li won his first national championship for the Beijing Wushu Team. After retiring from wushu at age 17, he went on to win great acclaim in China as an actor making his debut with the film Shaolin Temple (1982). He went on to star in many critically acclaimed martial arts epic films, most notably the Once Upon A Time In China series, in which he portrayed folk hero Wong Fei-hung.

Li’s first role in a Hollywood film was as a villain in Lethal Weapon 4 (1998), but his first Hollywood film leading role was in Romeo Must Die (2000). He has gone on to star in many Hollywood action films, most recently starring beside Jackie Chan in The Forbidden Kingdom (2008), and as the titular villain in The Mummy: Tomb Of The Dragon Emperor (2008) opposite Brendan Fraser. Recently, he appeared in the 2010 film The Expendables.
