Angelina Jolie is a lady in the streets and a freak in the sheets, according to her partner Brad Pitt.

“She’s still a bad girl,” the actor revealed on CBS This Morning Monday. “Delightfully so. It’s not for public consumption.”

The 78-year-old’s opinion on Adele was brought up when asked about his thoughts on new American singer and songwriter Elizabeth Grant, better known by her stage name — Lana del Rey.

“I prefer Adele and Florence Welch,” he said. “But as a modern singer she is not bad. The thing at the moment is Adele. She is a little too fat, but she has a beautiful face and a divine voice. Lana del Rey is not bad at all. She looks very much like a modern-time singer. In her photos she is beautiful. Is she a construct with all her implants? She’s not alone with implants.”

Yeah, that just happened.

Lagerfeld also spoke about M.I.A.’s star moment at yesterday’s Super Bowl performance, when she flipped the bird to the camera.

“Nowadays people give the middle finger quite quickly — it’s not the best behavior. Everybody does that, what’s new about that? It’s just become a bad habit. People in magazines are 50 percent bimbo and 50 percent pregnant women.”

Beyonce Knowles picked a very special occasion for her first post-baby outing.

Four weeks after giving birth, the 16-time Grammy winner supported her husband Jay-Z at his Carnegie Hall concert in Manhattan, which benefited The United Way of New York City and his Shawn Carter Foundation.

The new mom showed off her svelte body in a body-hugging Alice by Temperley dress with Ofira Lorraine Schwartz jewelry, an Alexander McQueen clutch, and Christian Louboutin platform heels.

During the concert, Jay-Z got choked up while performing “Glory,” the song he wrote for their daughter, Blue Ivy (born Jan. 7 in NYC).

“You could tell Jay is over the moon,” a concertgoer tells Us Weekly. “He asked the crowd if there are any proud parents out there. Then after he said, ‘I didn’t think I was gonna make it through that one — that was tough.”

Post-show, A-list guests hit up Jay-Z’s 40/40 club for the official after-party. Knowles was clearly enjoying her night off, arriving half an hour after her hip-hop husband, 42, walked the red carpet.

“She made a much bigger effort to say hello to nearly everyone, making rounds around the whole club before joining Jay-Z and guests in the VIP room,” an onlooker tells Us. Neither Knowles nor Jay-Z (real name: Shawn Carter) spoke to reporters.

J.C. Penney stands behind Ellen DeGeneres

J.C. Penney is turning its back on One Million Moms, a group which called for the retailer to dump talk show host Ellen DeGeneres as its national spokeswoman because she is gay.

In an emailed statement to Yahoo! Shine on Friday, J.C. Penney confirmed it “stands behind its partnership with Ellen DeGeneres.”

One Million Moms, a project of the American Family Association, earlier said that “DeGeneres is not a true representation of the type of families that shop at their store. The majority of JC Penney shoppers will be offended and choose to no longer shop there.” The group claims to be “the most powerful tool you have to stand against the immorality, violence, vulgarity and profanity the entertainment media is throwing at your children.”

The Gay Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) applauded J.C. Penney’s decision to stick with DeGeneres.

“This week Americans spoke out in overwhelming support of LGBT people and J.C. Penney’s decision not to fire Ellen simply for who she happens to love,” said Herndon Graddick, senior director of programs and communications at GLAAD.

GLAAD says it has received nearly 25,000 signatures on a website dedicated to showing support for J.C. Penney and DeGeneres.

‘Anatomy of a Murder’ star Gazzara dies

Ben Gazzara died Friday of pancreatic cancer, The New York Times reported.

The star of award films and plays such as “Anatomy of a Murder” and “Cat on a Hot Tin Roof” was 81 years old.

Gazzara employed his distinctive, guttural voice and powerful stare most memorably in a series of film collaborations with the director John Cassavetes.

For the maverick director, Gazzara played a collection of bitter spouses and down-on-their heels gamblers and theater directors in films such as “The Killing of a Chinese Bookie” and “Opening Night.”

Like Peter Falk, his co-star in Cassavetes’ “Husbands,” Gazzara was perfectly suited to the director’s signature examinations of bruised men who struggle to articulate and come to grips with their emotions, fears and hopes in a rapidly changing world.

Fittingly, he died the same day that Cassavetes did more than twenty years ago.

Among his other notable film roles were an accused rapist in “Anatomy of a Murder” (1959), the smooth-talking pornographer Jackie Treehorn in the Coen Brothers’ “The Big Lebowski” (1998), and a grandfather separating from his wife of 40 years in Todd Solondz’s “Happiness”(1998).

Less successful was his starring role opposite his then-lover Audrey Hepburn in Peter Bogdanovich’s “They All Laughed” (1981). The romantic comedy was a box office and critical disaster.

As for “Roadhouse” (1989), the critics hated the Patrick Swayze action movie too, but thanks to frequent television play, Gazarra’s role as villainous businessman became a cult favorite.

On stage, Gazzara originated the role of the alcoholic, sexually confused Brick in Tennessee Williams’ “Cat on a Hot Tin Roof.” It helped make his name, but he saw the role go to Paul Newman in the 1958 film adaptation.

Even after Hollywood beckoned, Gazzara was comfortable migrating from stage to screen, making frequent appearances on Broadway. He was nominated for three Tony awards for playing a drug addict in “A Hatful of Rain,” for doing double duty in two short plays Eugene O’Neill’s “Hughie” and David Scott Milton’s “Duet,” and for playing the alcoholic George in a revival of “Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf.”

His last Broadway role came in 2006′s acclaimed revival of the social protest drama “Awake and Sing!”

Gazzara’s performance in HBO’s “Hysterical Blindness” earned him his first Emmy award in 2006. He also earned plaudits for his starring role in the TV movie, “An Early Frost” (1985), one of the first nationally broadcast works to deal with the AIDS crisis.

Gazzara was married three times to Louise Erickson (1951–1957), actress Janice Rule (1961–1979), and German model Elke Stuckmann.

He his survived by Stuckmann, their daughter, and an adopted daughter. Gazarra’s brother, Anthony, also survives him.

1. Don Cornelius, the smooth-talking host of the iconic TV dance show “Soul Train,” died on Wednesday of a self-inflicted gunshot wound at his California home. He was 75. To borrow his weekly signoff: “Love, peace and soul …”

2. One Million Moms, a group that apparently doesn’t sit around and watch Ellen DeGeneres‘ talk show, tried to get J.C. Penney to dump her as national spokeswoman because she’s gay. Attention shoppers: The retailer said no.

3. Meanwhile, on Ellen’s actual show, actress Kristen Bell provided the comic relief of the week by recounting how a sloth, given to her on her birthday by her fiance, reduced her to tears.

4. “The X Factor” will no longer mark the spot for judges Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger and host Steve Jones. After just one season, Simon Cowell is cleaning house on the Americanized version of his reality singing show.

5. Need a little culture? Spain’s Prado Museum uncovered a twin “Mona Lisa” that was almost certainly painted by one of Leonardo da Vinci’s apprentices alongside the master himself as he did the original.

6. There’s nothing worthwhile opening in theaters this weekend, so you might as well get excited about the surviving members of Monty Python reuniting to make another movie. “Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition.”

7. Expectant mom Jessica Simpson tweeted a picture of her puffy, pouty lips this week and asked, “Is this how pregnancy face begins?!” We wondered, “Is this why we’re on Twitter?!”

8. Gwyneth Paltrow made news without emailing us about what we should be putting in our dietary cleanse. The actress tells Harper’s Bazaar: “I used to have a boyfriend who would cheat on me all the time … I was quite naive.”

9. Brad Pitt, a Paltrow ex from way back when, made his first visit to the TODAY show studios on Wednesday. The “Moneyball” star brought along co-star Jonah Hill and they talked baseball and Oscars. Watch below:

I want you to come out into the … are you alright?!’ And he sees me basically fetal on the bed.”

We’re sorry to have to break this to you, but 2012 is not the year of the Dragon. It’s the year of the Kardashian.

This might be the year that the Kardashians break us. There are too many of them. They’re relentless. And they keep breeding. Kourtney’s on a beach in Mexico as we speak, flaunting her baby bump in a turquoise bikini.

Is resistance futile?

You would think that after the embarrassment of Kim Kardashian’s 72-day marriage — culminating in a dramatic, and certainly biased, retelling of events in Sunday’s “Kourtney and Kim Take New York” finale — the most famous of the sisters would want to lay low for a while.

You would think.

But a girl can’t even watch “The Bachelor” on a Monday night without getting assaulted by a preview for the ABC sitcom “Last Man Standing,” guest-starring … Kim Kardashian!

While guest-hosting “Live with Kelly” last week, Kim told Kelly Ripa that she fled to her mom’s house with only pajamas and two pairs of sweatpants after her divorce for a self-imposed media hiatus. But I don’t recall a period in the recent past when we didn’t hear about Kim Kardashian. Do you?

On Monday, hours after E! showed her having a tearful meltdown because she didn’t want her husband to move his stuff into her house (prompting Scott Disick to ask, “You do realize you’re married, right?”), Kim cheerfully tweeted a pictureof herself and her sisters posing topless in Kardashian Kollection blue jeans.

Insert overexposure joke here. (Also, when did Scott Disick become the voice of reason in the Kardashian universe?)

On Tuesday, Kim tweeted (to her 12.8 million followers, shame on all of you) a picture of her new hair color: “You like?”

It appears that we do. Enough people seem to like Kim Co. to keep them relevant. Almost 5 million viewers tuned in to the “Kourtney and Kim” finale, so you can be sure that E! has already signed a television contract with Kourtney’s unborn baby.

Is it too late to make a collective New Year’s resolution?

It is?

Well, then. “Khloe and Lamar” is right around the corner.

, to see if somebody is psychotic or depressed or suicidal. a global examination for starters.

how long would that take in the hospital?

i could do it in
15 minutes
. but — it can take days.

so the tests, for the tests to come back, it could take hours, if not days.

would the patient necessarily stay in the hospital for days?

psychiatric, it’s going to take days to figure out what’s going on. bellevue, you have
72 hours
to make an assessment of what’s going on.

, how defensible is the reporting that the problem here may also be
prescription drugs
?

you know, those are unsubstantiated reports and we’re not inside of her life, we don’t know that we’ve seen it happen with hollywood actresses time and time again. so when people hear exhaustion, the
red flags
go up. when you think about it, she’s going through this very public divorce. they have three children, she’s a director, actress. and can you imagine going through all that and being a famous actress, i’m exhausted.

so that’s defensible, the idea of exhaustion.

but doctor, you’re saying the idea that one out of every four women take some form of
prescription drugs
. when used correctly, that’s probably not an issue. how can they be used incorrectly?

one of the problems is mixing medicines with alcohol. you know, certainly sedatives like
sleeping pills
or anti-anxiety medicines, if you’re mixing them with alcohol, you’re getting them in trouble. taking them not as prescribed, taking too much, mixing pills.

are they have these drugs in this category, drugs that can use to sort of limit your appetite, to cause you to — or have the effect of causing you to lose a lot of weight?

on some of the antidepressants, wellbutrin can cause you to lose your appetite. and cocaine cuts your appetite. heroin doesn’t cut your appetite, but it can make you not feel
hunger pains
.

is it abused in that way? do some women abuse his drugs for that purpose?

definitely, i think you can do stimulants that will also cut your appetite. women abuse pills to
lose weight
, no question.

we don’t know what the situation is in this particular case. we do know that demi has now had to back out of a movie in which she was going to play gloria steinham. how much of an impact might this have on her career, given the circumstances?

i don’t think it will have a major impact. i’ve been interviewing her for years, i was there in
2003
when she did the big comeback in haie’s angels.” she left hollywood to raise her children and was brought back after all of those years. i think people understand she was going through a
hard time
. a public break-up. she said in an interview she feels betrayed by her body. we’re forgiving people, understanding people. everyone has been affected by divorce in one way or another. i think people wish her well.
