David Carradine’s wife and his manager disputed suggestions that the actor’s death was a suicide, while rescue workers and police in Bangkok, Thailand, said the actor’s neck and genitals were found bound with rope.
After Carradine’s body arrives back to the United States this weekend, an autopsy ordered by Carradine’s family will be conducted, according to the actor’s co-manager.
“They’re doing everything possible to get to the bottom of what really happened,” said Carradine’s co-manager Tiffany Smith.
The 4-year-old daughter of boxer Mike Tyson died at a hospital Tuesday, a day after her neck apparently got caught in a treadmill cord at her Phoenix home, police said.
Exodus Tyson was pronounced dead just before noon, police Sgt. Andy Hill said. She had been on life support and police have said their investigation showed her injury on Monday was a “tragic accident.”
“There are no words to describe the tragic loss of our beloved Exodus,” the family said in a statement. “We ask you now to please respect our need at this very difficult time for privacy to grieve and try to help each other heal.”
British actress Lucy Gordon, who appeared in “Spider-Man 3,” was found dead in her Paris apartment after apparently committing suicide, French police said Thursday. She was 28.
An autopsy has been ordered to determine the cause of death, though it appeared to be a suicide, said an official with the Paris police headquarters. The official, who spoke on condition of anonymity because of police agency policy, gave no details.
Gordon, who would have turned 29 on Friday, appeared in a dozen films, including as reporter Jennifer Dugan in “Spider-Man 3.” She portrays British singer and actress Jane Birkin in an upcoming biopic about Serge Gainsbourg.
British actress Natasha Richardson has died from head injuries sustained in a skiing accident, her husband Liam Neeson’s publicist has said.
Richardson, 45, daughter of actress Vanessa Redgrave, fell on a beginners’ slope at the Mont Tremblant resort in Canada on Monday.
Neeson’s publicist said the family were devastated by the death of their “beloved Natasha”.
She died in a New York hospital where she had been transferred.
The accident happened while the actress was taking a supervised skiing lesson at the Quebec resort.
Anna Nicole Smith’s lawyer-turned-boyfriend was the principal enabler in a conspiracy with two doctors to provide the “known addict” thousands of prescription pills in the months before she died of an overdose, California Attorney General Jerry Brown said Friday.
Howard K. Stern and Drs. Khristine Eroshevich and Sandeep Kapoor were charged by Los Angeles County prosecutors after a two-year probe by the attorney general, state medical and insurance officials and the Drug Enforcement Administration.
“Doctors do not have a license to pump innocent and often vulnerable people full of dangerous chemicals,” Brown told a news conference. “Somebody died here, and this is bad business.”
