After being cut to an estimated 14-days of the original 90-day sentence, Lindsay Lohan’s time in jail has been reduced yet again according to RadarOnline.

Thanks to the request for a two day credit for time already served (presumably in 2007 when she was arrested for the original D.U.I.) filed by her lawyer Shawn Chapman Holley, the incarcerated starlet is now expected to be released from jail by the end of the month. In other words, by the end of the upcoming week.

Lindsay was booked into the Lynwood Correctional Facility after turning herself in at the Beverly Hills Court House this past Tuesday. After calculating in credits for being a non-violent offender the actress’ sentence was estimated to last around 12 to 14 days, putting her release date around the 2nd or 3rd of August.

However, after the recent credits were granted for time already served, and rumors of additional credits for predicted good behavior have arisen, the starlet could be released as early as this weekend the site reports.

Despite sharing a cell-block with convicted felons and murderers, the actress’ lawyer reports that the Lindsay is actually dealing with her sentence quite well. During her first five days in jail she has received visits from her mother, Dina Lohan, and sister, Ali Lohan, as well as her ex-girlfriend, deejay Samantha Ronson.

Carradine’s body to return home, while questions remain

David Carradine’s wife and his manager disputed suggestions that the actor’s death was a suicide, while rescue workers and police in Bangkok, Thailand, said the actor’s neck and genitals were found bound with rope.

After Carradine’s body arrives back to the United States this weekend, an autopsy ordered by Carradine’s family will be conducted, according to the actor’s co-manager.

“They’re doing everything possible to get to the bottom of what really happened,” said Carradine’s co-manager Tiffany Smith.

Carradine, 72, became famous in the 1970s when he portrayed the traveling Shaolin monk Kwai Chang Caine in the television series “Kung Fu.”

Bangkok police said Carradine was found hanging by a nylon rope in a Bangkok hotel room closet Thursday morning.

“Our preliminary assumption is that the cause of death was suffocation, because there was a rope tied to his neck,” said Bangkok police spokesman Somprasong Yenthuam.

Autopsy results will not be available for three or four weeks, said a high-ranking Thai police source who asked not to be identified.

The actor’s body was released to the U.S. Embassy for a Saturday flight home after a judge signed the death certificate Friday, the police source said.

A member of the emergency crew who was called to the hotel after a maid found Carradine told CNN that a yellow nylon rope was tied around the actor’s neck and a black rope was around his genitals. Police later confirmed that information.

The same emergency crew source said Carradine’s hands were not tied, contrary to some media reports. Smith, the co-manager, also said media reports quoting the actor’s management saying the hands were tied were untrue.

“I do not know if you want to call it accidental,” Chuck Binder, Carradine’s manager, told CNN’s Larry King on Thursday. He said Carradine’s career was on a roll.

Binder said a producer of the movie, “Stretch,” which Carradine was to act in, called him from Thailand to tell him what was happening there.

“I do not want to get in the middle of this whole investigation, but this guy said to me for sure there was foul play,” Binder said.

Actor Michael Madsen told King that the one thing Carradine’s wife, Annie Bierman, wanted everyone to know is, “David was not suicidal.”

Investigators found no sign of a forced entry into Carradine’s room, Bangkok Police Lt. Colonel Pirom Chanpirom said.

Smith would not confirm Friday that Carradine’s family had hired private investigators to look into his death, but she did say a private autopsy would be done.

Modern audiences may best know Carradine as “Bill” in Quentin Tarantino’s “Kill Bill” films. He earned a 2005 Golden Globe nomination for his role in the second movie in the two-part saga.

Tarantino, also appearing on “Larry King Live,” called Carradine one of “Hollywood’s great mad geniuses.”

“He was a rock star at the time ‘Kung Fu’ came out,” Tarantino said, holding up a vintage metal lunch box with an image from the popular show.

“I’m in shock,” he said.

Carradine’s career included more than 100 feature films, two dozen television movies and theater work, according to the Internet Movie Database.

“He was clearly an actor who followed his own path,” said Leah Rozen, movie critic for People magazine.

“He was never a guy who talked a whole lot. You knew, as an actor, the characters he played, you knew they had a past, you knew there was probably some unhappiness there, but he wasn’t going to talk about it.”

Carradine was nominated for a Golden Globe for his role as folk music legend Woody Guthrie in the 1976 movie “Bound for Glory,” according to a biography on his official Web site.

He also made appearances in television series such as “Gunsmoke” and “Alfred Hitchcock Presents.” His first starring role in a series was as the title character in “Shane” in 1966.

Carradine was married five times and divorced four, according to People magazine.

He was the son of John Carradine, a character actor who appeared in hundreds of films, plays and television episodes.

“David’s career as an artist did not begin on the stage, though some of his early career was on and off Broadway. His earliest work was as a sculptor and painter,” Carradine’s official Web site says.

The site also includes an “Art Bio,” in which the actor opened up about his life.

“I’ve always had an especially hard time with everything I’ve tried to do,” Carradine wrote.

“I’ve made it pretty big as an actor in spite of being terminally shy. … Invariably, I had huge obstacles to overcome in anything I tried. Had to work against my genes to achieve my dreams.”

Carla Bruni-Sarkozy (born Carla Gilberta Bruni Tedeschi, 23 December 1967) is an Italian-born, naturalized French songwriter, singer, and former model. She is currently the First Lady of France, after marrying French President Nicolas Sarkozy in February 2008.

Early years

Carla Gilberta Bruni Tedeschi was born in Turin, Italy, and is heiress to the fortune created by the Italian tyre manufacturing company CEAT, founded in the 1920s by her grandfather Virginio Bruni Tedeschi. The company was sold in the 1970s to Pirelli (the brand lives on via its former subsidiary in India, founded in 1958). The family moved to France in 1975, reportedly to escape the threat of kidnapping by the Red Brigades, a Marxist-Leninist terrorist group active in Italy in the 1970s. Bruni grew up in France from age seven and attended boarding school in Switzerland. She went to Paris to study art and architecture, but left school at 19 to become a model.

Family

Though she is legally a daughter of Italian concert pianist Marisa Borini and industrialist and classical composer Alberto Bruni Tedeschi, Bruni-Sarkozy revealed to Vanity Fair in 2008 that her biological father is an Italian, naturalized Brazilian grocery magnate Maurizio Remmert, who, as a young classical guitarist, had a six-year affair with her mother. First lady of France

Following her marriage to Sarkozy, in February 2008, Bruni-Sarkozy continued accompanying him on state visits, including to the United Kingdom in March 2008, which created a sensation in the international press and the public in the UK and France.

There was controversy on the eve of the state visit to the UK, with the publication by Christie’s auction house of a nude photograph of Bruni taken during her career as a model. The photograph sold for $91,000. There was also great interest in Bruni’s wardrobe, which was Christian Dior, seen as a diplomatic choice, being a French design house designed by John Galliano, a British designer. In December 2008, Bruni sued the makers of a bag featuring a nude shot of the French first lady taken during her supermodelling youth. American Express Co wants Courtney Love to leave home without it.

The financial services firm sued the musician in Los Angeles on Wednesday, alleging she owes more than $350,000 in unpaid charges and other fees on her AmEx Gold card.

The lawsuit, filed in U.S. District Court, seeks $352,059.67 for the unpaid balance, damages, attorney’s fees and late charges, and says Love’s charging privileges were suspended after she “failed and refused” to make payments.

Love’s publicist said he had no immediate information on the suit, and had left a message with her attorney.

Love, the 44-year-old widow of late Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain, is a litigation magnet. She was sued for libel in February by a fashion designer upset by comments Love had reportedly made about her on the micro-blogging Web site Twitter.

Last year, Love was sued for $1 million by an advisory firm seeking its share of proceeds from Love’s partial sale of Nirvana’s publishing catalog. The deal, covering such Nirvana tunes as “Smells Like Teen Spirit” and “Lithium,” was reportedly worth $19.5 million. Cobain killed himself in 1994.

Cannes hands out its top prize Sunday after a marathon battle between heavyweights like Quentin Tarantino and Jane Campion, with the critics’ money on lesser-known names from France and Austria.

The notoriously extravagant festival toned down the glitz for this year’s crisis-era bash and was lighter than usual in star power, but it still saw celebs like Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie sashay up the fabled red carpet.

Billed as a battle of auteur titans, it mostly lived up to expectations, with Britain’s Independent on Sunday calling it “a superior vintage” and France’s Journal du Dimanche declaring “the return of great cinema”.

And scandal came in the form of Lars Von Trier’s “Antichrist”, which provoked fainting, gasps and walk-outs and received an “anti-prize” that the festival director angrily denounced as an attempt at censorship.

Four previous Palme d’Or winners — Tarantino, Campion, Von Trier and Ken Loach — squared up against the likes of Pedro Almodovar, Michael Haneke, Johnnie To and Park Chan-wook for Sunday’s award.

Penelope Cruz — a hot tip for best actress award for her role in Almodovar’s flick — was among the A-list celebrities at the 12-day annual French Riviera bash, who also included Martin Scorsese and Jim Carrey.

As the jury headed by French actress Isabelle Huppert deliberated on which of the 20 films will scoop the Palme at the gala awards ceremony later Sunday, a French prison drama was among critics’ favourites.

Jacques Audiard’s “A Prophet,” about a prison stint for an illiterate French-Arab youth which turns into an education in crime, “instantly takes its place alongside the greats of the crime movie genre,” said The Times.

A win for Audiard would be a triumph for French cinema, a year after high-school drama “The Class” became the first homegrown movie in more than two decades to pick up the Palme.

Critics cited as another possible winner the Austrian director Haneke’s “The White Ribbon”, a chilling black-and-white study of malice in a German village on the eve of World War I.

New Zealander Campion’s “Bright Star” ode to the doomed poet John Keats was also being touted, as was “Broken Embraces” by Almodovar, which recounts a tragic love affair between a young actress and an ageing director.

Loach’s comedy “Looking for Eric” — starring soccer legend Eric Cantona — also impressed critics, while reviewers had high hopes for veteran director Alain Resnais for “Wild Grass” and Italy’s Marco Bellochio’s “Vincere”, a tale on Mussolini’s bastard son.

Tarantino’s march up the red carpet — flanked by Pitt and his wife Jolie — for the world premiere of his long-awaited “Inglourious Basterds” on Wednesday provided the biggest celebrity buzz of the 12-day festival.

But the director of “Pulp Fiction” divided critics with his war story of Jewish-American soldiers on a mission to murder Nazis.

The festival opened on May 13 with Disney-Pixar’s 3D cartoon caper “Up” — screening out of competition — but it quickly delivered movies not at all suitable for kids.

Blood and guts were aplenty in Tarantino’s work, while Von Trier’s gothic thriller also dished up the gore and blood flowed freely in a tale of a Korean vampire priest in Park Chan-wook’s “Thirst”.

French director Gaspar Noe’s “Enter The Void” also sparked a few walk-outs with its explicit sex and a close-up of an aborted foetus.

Palestinian director Elia Suleiman unveiled “The Time that Remains”, a bittersweet farce on his family history and the daily life of Israeli Arabs.

And Ang Lee brought sex and drugs and rock n’ roll to the festival with “Taking Woodstock”. The film on the iconic 1969 music festival was well received but judged a “low-wattage” offer from the Oscar-winning director.

The late Heath Ledger’s unfinished stint in Terry Gilliam’s “The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus” was screened out of competition, while “Spider-Man” director Sam Raimi returned to horror with his new flick “Drag Me To Hell”.

American Idol judge Simon Cowell thought his ex-girlfriend was joking when she called him to reveal she’d been attacked on Tuesday night – but now accepts the incident was “terrible”.

TV presenter Terri Seymour was covering the American Idol in Los Angeles when a woman attempted to choke her.

Friends helped fight the attacker, Janice Thibodeaux, off and police later arrested her, but Seymour was so shaken up by the incident she called her ex-boyfriend.

Cowell says, “(It was) a frenzied attack, (she was) nearly strangled… She called me… It was some crazy girl (who is) locked up. It was bad. I felt sorry for her (Seymour).”

The Brit, who is a judge on Idol, admits he thought Seymour was joking when she first called and then his mind went elsewhere: “Naturally, I assumed it was somebody who was jealous.”

Thibodeaux, who remains in police custody after her attack on Seymour, has told RadarOnline.com the attack was motivated by footage of Cowell pretending to throttle fellow Idol judge Paula Abdul on the show.

Thibodeaux claims she approached Seymour to confront her about Cowell’s behaviour on a recent episode, during which he placed his hands around Abdul’s neck.

She says, “I wasn’t cool with Simon Cowell choking Paula Abdul on the show… and with her crying-out ‘help’ as he did so. Nobody said anything about that so I wanted to confront him about it because that is not appropriate behaviour, is it?

“I knew she (Seymour) was his girlfriend so I went up to her to tell her how I felt. We started arguing and then I put my hands around her neck and started choking her just like Simon had done with Paula.”

Thibodeaux is facing a felony charge of battery.

British actress Lucy Gordon, who appeared in “Spider-Man 3,” was found dead in her Paris apartment after apparently committing suicide, French police said Thursday. She was 28.

An autopsy has been ordered to determine the cause of death, though it appeared to be a suicide, said an official with the Paris police headquarters. The official, who spoke on condition of anonymity because of police agency policy, gave no details.

Gordon, who would have turned 29 on Friday, appeared in a dozen films, including as reporter Jennifer Dugan in “Spider-Man 3.” She portrays British singer and actress Jane Birkin in an upcoming biopic about Serge Gainsbourg.

Gordon’s father said the death was a “complete shock.”

Speaking from the family’s home in Oxford, Richard Gordon told Britain’s Press Association that his daughter was “a natural actress all her life, since she was about 2.”

“She’s always loved being on stage and in front of the camera and she has kept all her naturalness and charm all the way through. She has been the most beautiful daughter. We are obviously devastated.”

He said she loved her latest role, in the Gainsbourg film, and thought the cast was “wonderfully creative and supportive.”

He added that his daughter spent much of her childhood and her summer vacations in France and was bilingual. She recently moved to Paris after living in New York.

Gordon’s agents did not return phone calls seeking comment Thursday.

AMERICAN Idol judge Kara DioGuardi stripped down to her bikini at the show’s final last night – and the new champ was revealed.

The celeb-filled audience was stunned when Kris Allen, 23 from Arkansas, was crowned the winner instead of favourite Adam Lambert, 27.

The student looked shocked as host Ryan Seacrest delivered the news and clutched his trophy in disbelief.

Judge Simon Cowell told the finalists, “I thought you were both brilliant, unusually, incredibly nice people and I think both of you should be incredibly proud of what you achieved last night.”

A hundred million votes were cast to decide which of the two would take the crown on the show, which aired in the States last night.

It was revealed that 624 million votes were cast throughout the series, making it the most successful season ever.

During the episode failed “Bikini Girl” act Katrina Darrell made a return – and was joined on stage by a scantily-clad Kara for a special performance.

The Black Eyed Peas, Cyndi Lauper, Keith Urban, Queen Latifa and Carlos Santana also appeared on the show.

Other famous faces who came to see the winner get crowned included Heather Locklear, Lionel Richie, Carrie Underwood and Jason Mraz.

Noelia Lorenzo Monge (born August 31, 1977 in San Juan, Puerto Rico), mostly known as Noelia, is a Puerto Rican pop singer who rose to fame in 1999. She is the first daughter of Puerto Rican singer Yolandita Monge and Alfredo Lorenzo.

Her self-titled debut album was certified as a gold album in the United States for 500,000 units sold. During her career she has had nine Latin Billboard Top 40 hits.

Recently People en Español named Noelia as one of the “50 Most Beautiful People” in 2008.

Noelia started working on her first full-length album in 1998. The self-titled album was finally released in 1999. The album produced the hit single “Tu”, written by Estéfano.

In 2000 she released her second album, Golpeando Fuerte.

Her third album, Natural, released in 2003 featured another hit song, “Clávame Tu Amor”, which peaked at #5 on Billboard Hot Latin Tracks. The album also featured songwriting contributions from her then boyfriend, Alexis Grullón.

In 2004, she surprised with her fourth studio album titled Melao, which was a fusion of pop with reggaeton. The album was produced by reggaeton producer, DJ Eric, and features Yamil sharing lead vocals with Noelia. They also co-wrote most of the songs of the album.

In 2006, she returned to her musical roots with the album 40 Grados, produced by Adrián Posse. The album featured the single “Como Duele”, which was nominated by Billboard as Pop Song of the Year. The song was also chosen as the theme for the Mexican telenovela Barrera de Amor and peaked at #8 on Billboard Hot Latin Songs.

In 2007, she released her sixth full-length album titled Volverte a Ver.

She is currently working on her first English language album. The album will be titled Caribbean Queen and the first single, “Caribbean Queen Reloaded” was released in May 2008. The song is a cover version of Billy Ocean’s hit song of 1984.
